Birkett two part polyurethane resin compound utilises the patented Swish-Pak mixing system Tested to the latest performance standard BS EN 50393:2006, Birkett Swish-Pak standard cast resin is a pure, unfilled two component polyurethane resin. It's the ideal solution for the insulation of power cables providing excellent electrical and mechanical properties that does not allow the ingress of moisture.

• Supplied in a fully enclosed transparent mixing system with a seperator.
  

• Components are mixed without exposure to moisture and without contact to operatives hands.
  

• Once mixed the SwishPak system completely eliminates all traces of MDI, rendering the SwishPak non-hazardous and suitable for disposal as general waste.
  

• Provides good adhesion and is suitable for providing primary or secondary insulation up to a continuous operating voltage of 12kV.
  

• When stored in dry or air-conditioned temperatures of between 0°C-60°C a maximum shelf life of 2 years can be given.
  

• No heat required. Two part polyurethane resin compound can be used in hazardous areas.
  

• When cured the joint has excellent mechanical strength and is damp proof.
  

• Type test approved.
